Robert Chubb is a former professional basketball player and Auburn University team captain. He played for a season in the German professional leagues. He developed over years of coaching and practice at various levels of competition to reach the German professional leagues. After Chubb moved on from Germany because of a back injury, he started working in sales and studying for a Master’s degree in Landscape Design in Charleston, South Carolina. One of the stops on his long journey to professional ball was at the Montverde Academy in Florida, one of the top basketball academies in the country. Montverde Academy has a long list of NBA stars who have filtered through the program over the years. This is an innovative basketball academy designed to teach winning habits while studying hard and training constantly. Robert Chubb came to Montverde after leading his high school team in rebounds and finishing second in points during his junior year. The coaching staff honed him into a future team captain of the Auburn basketball team. Robert Chubb learned from the experienced coaching staff working there to help players develop into the best athletes they can be. Four-time national coach of the year Keven Boyle is currently the coach at Montverde Academy. Robert Chubb learned many lessons from his days on the court, including the value and necessity of hard work and determination to reach all of his goals in life.
